📡 How to Connect to Wi-Fi (Windows)
- Step 1 — Open Network Settings Look at the bottom-right corner of your screen and click the Wi-Fi icon (it looks like signal bars or a dot with curved lines).
- Step 2 — View Available Networks A list of nearby Wi-Fi networks will appear. Find the name of your network (this is called the SSID).
- Step 3 — Click Your Network Click on your network name, then click the Connect button.
- Step 4 — Enter the Password Type in your Wi-Fi password carefully. Passwords are case-sensitive! Then press Next or Connect.
- Step 5 — Confirm You Are Connected The Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar should now show full signal bars. Open a browser and try visiting a website to confirm it works.
📱 How to Clear Your Browser Cache (Chrome)
Clearing the cache can fix slow loading pages and browser errors.
- Step 1 — Open Chrome Settings Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome. Select Settings from the menu.
- Step 2 — Go to Privacy and Security On the left side of Settings, click Privacy and Security.
- Step 3 — Click "Clear Browsing Data" You will see an option labeled Clear browsing data. Click it.
- Step 4 — Choose What to Clear Make sure Cached images and files is checked. You can also check Cookies and Browsing history if needed.
- Step 5 — Click "Clear Data" Press the blue Clear data button. Chrome will clear the selected data. Restart Chrome when finished.
💾 How to Install Software Safely
Always be careful when installing new programs. Follow these steps to stay safe.
- Step 1 — Download from Official Sources Only Only download software from the developer's official website or a trusted store (like the Microsoft Store or Apple App Store). Avoid random websites.
- Step 2 — Check the File Before Opening Make sure the file you downloaded has the correct extension (.exe for Windows, .dmg for Mac). If something looks off, do not open it.
- Step 3 — Run the Installer Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts. Read each screen carefully.
- Step 4 — Watch for Bundled Software Some installers try to add extra programs you did not ask for. Uncheck any boxes offering to install other tools unless you want them.
- Step 5 — Complete the Installation When the installer finishes, you may need to restart your computer. Open the newly installed program to confirm it works.
